Mississippi Sports betting regulation news

Mississippi managed to legalize the sports betting now and they are working hard to expend it. So far we have seen only a land based bookmakers there. The Mississippi Gaming Commission authorized installation of sports betting offerings across the state. Casinos, however, will have to revamp the facilities to integrate new technology. On the other hand, the online betting is not going to be pushed for now.

New sportsbook goes live in Mississippi

Island View Casino becomes the latest venue to offer sports betting in the state of Mississippi. What’s more, the sportsbook venue is going to be the largest in the state, at least for the time being.

Representative Richard Bennet said it will help casinos around the north Mississippi improve finances. He also added that Tunica will be the biggest help: “It’s gonna pull some of those casinos back to the town. But I’m really happy about the excitement the Coast is gonna have.”

After the Supreme Court ruled on PASPA amendment, sports betting is legal in Mississippi. So Tunica finally managed to join most states of the USA in the sports betting industry! The Mississippi town will start offering sports betting platforms by mid-August or September, based on government reports.

Local players can now bet sports betting offerings at the Horseshoe Poker Room only.
