Maryland, uncertain on sports betting regulation09/05/2018 – Update
Despite the Supreme Court of the United States ruled against PASPA, Maryland remains uncertain on how to legalese sports betting. Money on the table is money on the table, and we don’t want to turn money down that we could bring in from sports gaming,” Delegate Frank Turner said. He also spoke about a potential referendum that would be conducted no earlier than 2020.
Regulating sports betting is still unclear in the major casino gambling state. Representatives approved House Bill 1014 back in March, but the State Senate didn’t take any action yet. When the segment will have sports betting going live, still remains to be seen for now.
